Photo from Heidenreichstein dated 1942

This photo was mailed to Bernard Heuvelmans who used it in his book On the Track of Unknown Animals (published in 1965 and re-published 1995). There where no guess of what is was but Mr Heuvelmans was convinced it was something related to cryptozoology.

Since it's in Austria and in Waldviertel I think it has something to do with the more recent spottings.
